Farm Operations Lead — The Good Place Farm

Location: Chattahoochee Hills, GA

Type: Independent Contractor, 30+ hours/week

Pay: $22/hour, depending on experience

The Good Place Farm has grown from a family homestead into a thriving agritourism destination — and a social media phenomenon, with more than a million followers tuning in for farm life, animal stories, and seasonal updates. Now they need a dependable, hands-on Farm Operations Lead to help keep the daily work of the farm running smoothly as it continues to expand its garden, livestock, U-Pick program, and public-facing events.

What you'd be doing:

  • Garden care — harvesting, bed prep, replanting, weeding, watering, trellising, and pruning

  • Animal care — feeding, watering, health checks, basic doctoring, and humane handling

  • Rotational grazing support, including setting up and moving electric fencing

  • Groundskeeping and maintenance — mowing, fence and barn repairs, basic carpentry

  • Helping coordinate volunteers and farm helpers

  • Occasional support with animal sales, transport, or processor drop-offs

Who they're looking for: Someone reliable, calm around animals, comfortable with physical labor, and able to work independently with good judgment. Experience in market gardening, livestock care, rotational grazing, or general farm maintenance is a strong plus, though not absolutely required.

Schedule: Roughly 4–6 hours a day to start (30+ hours per week), with room to grow toward full days depending on experience and farm needs. Some weekend availability may be required during harvest or high-demand seasons.

Type: Part-time, with potential to grow into full-time

  • Planting and maintaining crops

  • Harvesting, washing, and packing produce

  • Mowing, weed eating, and hand weeding

  • Helping build and repair farm infrastructure and equipment
